Information

All tenrecs come with 30-day health guarantee against genetic defects or health issues that occurred while in the care of the breeder, registration with International Hedgehog Registry upon request,  and 1lb of our dry food mix. Deposits made are $100 non-refundable unless for reasons on our end we are not able or willing to have you adopt a tenrec.  If you live outside of driving distance to central Iowa, it may be a good idea to first check with us to see if we are able to ship the tenrec to the closest airport to you, at your expense.  We may also be willing to drive up to 2 hrs to meet you, for a small fee.  We do not ship tenrecs outside the US and Canada at this time, for the safety and comfort of the animals.  Please note that final payment is due at or before the time of pickup.  We will contact you after receiving a deposit, to discuss tenrec care, answer any questions that you have, and make arrangements for pickup.  Please see our tenrec policies & prices page for more details.

Available Babies

Click the image below to see our current available Madagascan lesser tenrec (Echinops telfairi) babies. To put a deposit on a specific baby, select the picture and use the "Buy this item" button at the bottom of the page, "Add to Cart", and follow the payment prompts. If multiple deposits come in on the same baby, the baby will go to the first person who made the deposit. Other deposits may be applied toward a different baby of your choice or be refunded if we are unable to provide a suitable match for you during the current year. Please do not make a deposit on a baby that is showing as unavailable.
